 Beginning of the city tour which includes visits of some of the most important historic and touristic monuments of the centre such as: Municipal Market, Diogo Gomes is statue (the discover of Cabo Verde) and a typical shopping called "Sucupira".

Departure from Praia Port - proposal 2
Beginning of the city tour which includes visits of some of the most important historic and touristic monuments of the centre such as: Municipal Market, Diogo Gomes is statue (the discover of Cabo Verde) and a typical shopping called "Sucupira".
Departure to Cidade Velha, ancient Ribeira Grande - the first place in Cabo Verde that was colonised by Portuguese. There you should visit São Filipe Fortress, ruins of the Cathedral, Church of Our Lady Rosário, "trapiche" - an instrument that produces "grogue" which is a kind of rum made with sugarcane and its very appreciate by capeverdeans, and the Pillory - monument that was used to punish and exchange slaves.
Departure to the interior of Santiago passing through the handicraft centre of São Domingos, the Botanic Garden at São Jorge, city of Assomada (visit to the municipal market and "Tabanka" Museum) and Tarrafal village.
Lunch
Visit to the colonial prison of Tarrafal, that now is a museum, and a short free time for swimming or sightseeing in the village.
Return to Praia by coast passing through the ancient port of Pedra Badejo.
